Computed from live world-market prices

The palladium-silver ratio (palladium-silver ratio) shows how many units of silver you get for one unit of palladium, that is, which metal has become expensive relative to the other. The same figure answers the reverse question (silver-to-palladium ratio): the pair is quoted this way in both directions. Unit-independent: gram/gram and ounce/ounce give the same number.

How is it usually read?

High or low ratio

A high ratio means silver is cheap relative to palladium; a low one the opposite. Many use it to time a shift between the two metals, but the ratio can stay at a level for years, with no guaranteed reversion.

The thinnest and the broadest market

Palladium has the smallest market of the four precious metals, while silver has the broadest investor base. The ratio therefore compares two markets of very different liquidity, and palladium-side swings dominate it. Not a forecast.

Not investment advice, just how the metric is commonly read.

Rebalancing between palladium and silver

Both metals are available on a precious-metals account: you sell one and buy the other while your holdings stay in an insured vault. A one-step palladium↔silver swap is in development. Note: palladium and silver held with us sits in the Zurich free zone, so it trades VAT-free, VAT does arise on physical delivery.
