Inventory Audit at Our Swiss Vault Partner

A photo report from the Goldtresor inventory audit.

The physical backing of Goldtresor silver accounts is held in Good Delivery silver bars, each weighing approximately 1,000 troy ounces (31.103 kg) per bar.

The silver bars stacked on pallets and piled several metres high are immediately striking as we enter the Swiss vault, which spans several thousand square metres, naturally after completing a multi-stage, rigorous security procedure.

The serial number and weight of each silver bar is verified individually and cross-referenced against the Loomis records and the quantity of silver stored on behalf of Goldtresor clients.

After reconciling the silver bars against the records, the gold and platinum bars are verified in turn.

Naturally, the same level of diligence applied to the silver bars is maintained when verifying the gold and platinum bars:

Boxes arriving directly from the refinery are unpacked, and the serial number and weight of each bar are verified individually.

Where a manufacturer's certificate accompanies the bar in question, its presence and accuracy are also verified.

In accordance with the procedure described above, personal audits conducted annually at each of our storage locations serve to confirm that Goldtresor precious metals account balances are backed by physical precious metal at a ratio of 100% or above.
